Fundament All Media contacted Goldmund to help them build a new front-end for VORM's new corporate website
The VORM website is essential for VORM's acquisition process. It showcases all their creative and new ideas for creating a modern Dutch construction landscape.
The size of VORM, the number of projects and services offered would mean that many pages on a traditional website would have to be created manually. Keeping the website up-to-date would incur very high maintenance costs. This was one of the challenges that Goldmund tried to solve. By introducing new workflows, tooling, and design practices, the development process was accelerated, content generation was facilitated, and the overall maintenance of the website was improved.
From the beginning, Goldmund introduced a more modern way to build complex applications.
We started by introducing a design concept with atomic design: creating many generic and reusable elements that act as a kind of building blocks for users and developers. These reusable elements would come in handy later, allowing end users to build their own sections with these reusable blocks.
We expanded this further by introducing a Storybook-based workflow, where users can create pages and test sections themselves, independent of the back-end CMS.
Using our self-developed page builder, future content managers could test content and create pages themselves from the beginning of the project.
Thanks to this process, Goldmund could gather and process feedback faster, allowing the project to implement possible changes in a more cost-effective way.
The solution realized by Goldmund is custom-developed for the Corporate Website Vorm, implemented in React/Next and Storybook.
