In 2017 I finished my Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence in Groningen. After a short stint of working with soundscapes and sound event detection, I decided it was time to relocate to Utrecht, the city where I grew up. That’s when I started working for Goldmund Wyldebeast & Wunderliebe. The mix of culture, new technologies and interesting projects seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I initially joined the office in Groningen, but quickly moved to Amsterdam, where I can currently be found.
At work, I like to learn about new technologies and work on interesting and challenging projects as a back-end developer. I try to use my AI background to find solutions to a broad range of (technological) problems. I’m also trying very hard to improve my table football skills, although I’m not quite there yet.
When I am not working, I spend my time between hardware synthesizers, in bouldering gyms, or at music venues. There are a lot of other hobbies I would like to have, but I simply can’t find the time to give them all the attention they deserve.
If you would ask me which character from the Muppet Show I most closely resemble my answer would probably be that I feel the strongest connection to Rowlf the dog. Our love for music, our deadpan humor and our warm, gruff voices make us almost indistinguishable.
